Have you looked to the things of this world to satisfy?
I have, and I bet you'd say you have too.
And I don't think I'm being presumptuous because from the beginning, Satan has used the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16) to tempt human beings. He'll do whatever he can to get us to distrust God and trust in ourselves to get what we think we need, want, and deserve.
It happened with Adam and Eve. We watched it unfold with Abram and Sarai in last week's study.
If only we could see that what Satan offers us is a counterfeit version of what we already possess when we become children of God. If only we trusted that in God Almighty, El Shaddai, we have everything.
